Asia-Pacific Region Shuts Out Canada Region, 10-0

 
 

Asia-Pacific beat Canada on Monday 10-0 at Volunteer Stadium in five innings.

Asia-Pacific scored four runs in the fifth on a solo home run by Moosung Kim, a solo home run by Wontae Cho, an RBI single by Seum Kwon, an RBI single by Kwon, an RBI double by Minho Choi, and an RBI double by Choi.

Asia-Pacific hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Asia-Pacific came when Jungtaek Ru homered in the fourth inning. Cho had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits.

Canada couldn't get anything going so long as Youbin Choi was on the hill. Choi held Canada hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out eight.

RESULTS: Little League Baseball® World Series

Cho got the win in relief for Asia-Pacific. Cho pitched two innings and allowed no runs.

Asia-Pacific's Ru, Kwon, Kim and Cho combined for nine hits and eight RBIs.

Nicola Barba was charged with the loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.

Asia-Pacific never trailed after scoring two runs in the second on an RBI single by Ru.

Asia-Pacific got four-run rallies in the fourth inning and the fifth. In the fourth, Asia-Pacific scored on an RBI triple by Cho, bringing home Jaekyeong Kim.
