JT Garcia went 2-3 and hit a home run as Midwest took home a 5-1 victory over West in six innings at Lamade Stadium on Friday.
Josh Larson recorded the win for Midwest. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered two hits.
Daniel Leon was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.

Midwest closer Michael Siemer put away the final three outs to record the save.
In the second inning, West pushed across its only run of the day on a sacrifice fly by JuJu Padilla.
Midwest stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring two runs on a fielder's choice.
Midwest built upon its lead with two runs in the fifth. JT Garcia's solo blast got things going.
