Esmith Pineda knocked in three runs, helping Latin America to a 3-2 victory over Asia-Pacific on Wednesday at Volunteer Stadium.
Asia-Pacific couldn't get anything going as long as Carlos Gonzalez was pitching. Gonzalez held Asia-Pacific hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out eight.
A bright spot for Asia-Pacific in the defeat was Jaekyeong Kim, who allowed only one run while striking out nine.

Edwar Bethancourth recorded the win for Latin America. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. Bethancourth struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
Junho Jeong was charged with the loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
Two runs gave Asia-Pacific a leg up after neither team scored for most of the game. Asia-Pacific scored on an error and a sacrifice fly by Youbin Choi.
Latin America never surrendered the lead after the fifth inning, scoring three runs on a three-run home run by Pineda.
