Northwest beat Europe-Africa 6-2 in six innings on Monday at Lamade Stadium behind Bowen Nelson, who went 1-3.
Isaiah Jensen pitched lights out for Northwest. Europe-Africa managed just two hits off of Jensen, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 4 1/3 innings of work.

The lead stayed with Northwest after the second, when it scored one run on a sacrifice fly by Chase Terry.
Northwest increased its lead with five runs in the fourth. Declan Corrigan singled to start the inning. That was followed up by Julian Mora's single, scoring Terry.
Europe-Africa scored one run in the top of the fifth to cut its deficit to five. A single by Michele Ghidoni triggered Europe-Africa's comeback. Finally, Mora got Leonardo Zambernardi to strike out to end the threat.
