BANGOR, Maine - Noah Miller went 2-for-3 for Central Region Champion Clear Ridge Little League in its 7-2 Senior League Baseball World Series Championship game win over Australia's Southern Mariners Little League at Mansfield Stadium.
Zach Verta struck out eight, paving the way for the win. Verta allowed no earned runs, two hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings.
Jackson Boyd took the mound loss, allowing seven runs in four innings, walked two and striking out three.
Clear Ridge Little League grabbed an early lead compliments of an RBI double by Verta.
Three-run rallies in the second and fourth innings built the lead. A wild pitch scored Miller to start the second-inning rally. That was followed up by Gage Olszak's triple, scoring Joe Trezek and Mike Skoraczewski in the fourth inning.
